Sage AccPac ERP Migration to Microsoft Dynamics NAV

During a project to shift core business systems to a private cloud, our team of UK IT support and implementation experts oversaw the migration from Sage’s AccPac ERP to Microsoft’s Dynamics Navision. We re-engineered crucial APIs for ERP-CRM integration and deployed separate environments to streamline training and testing.

Out with the Old, In with the New

As part of a broader initiative aimed at transitioning the customer’s key business systems to a private cloud infrastructure, our team of experts successfully orchestrated the migration from Sage’s AccPac ERP to Microsoft’s Dynamics Navision, also known as “Dynamics NAV”.

Being awarded the project due to our excellence in systems migrations, integrations, and process re-engineering, this migration entailed the implementation of firewall VPNs and custom security certificates to facilitate seamless connectivity for the NAV clients operating locally to access Microsoft’s SQL Server, residing in the data centre, with the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, multi-currency Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, and Cash Management functions transitioning to the new environment.

Preceding the migration process, the team undertook the task of re-writing the essential APIs that underpinned the integration between the customer’s ERP and CRM systems.

By establishing discrete Development, Training, and Production environments, we were able to meticulously oversee end-user training, conduct user acceptance testing, and run parallel work streams. This approach culminated in the successful delivery of the project within the allocated budget of £100,000, showcasing our commitment to efficiency and cost-effectiveness in project execution.
